Best Business to Buy in GTA 5 Online

We all are looking to make money in GTA Online. Rockstar has released a lot of methods on how you can make money. The best method up to date is the businesses. Now there is a lot of business, some are good and some are useless, that could make you some serious money.

The best businesses best to buy are the CEO, Biker, Bunker & Heist. Every other business is not simply that worth to mention because of the heavy load of work with little payout.

Import/Export Business

The import and export business could make you a lot of money in conjunction with the car sourcing business. There is a list of consecutive missions and car outsourcing that if you follow, you can earn up to $300,000 per hour.

The pro of this method is, of course, the money! There are not many methods that would allow you to make 300k an hour without grinding to the fullest. This method requires some grinding but it’s not where near heist or CEO’s grind.

You can do it solo. Your friends may join you as bodyguards but it not require. Actually, for the method below, there is no need for bodyguards. Completing the VIP mission solo is highly recommended.

The Con of this method is that like any other business, you’re exposed to the entire lobby. All the players will see if you’re trying to complete a job and choose to intercept with you if they wish. This could be trouble especially if you’re trying to grind and build your bank account.

There is a cooldown. Rockstar doesn’t allow you to keep replaying the missions many times consecutively. The idea behind it is for you to do a different job after completing one and NOT the same one.

What do you need?

For the VIP and car outsourcing, you will need a garage and an office. A vehicle garage cost $1.5 million, the cheapest one of course. The CEO office goes for $1 million, the cheapest one. You do not need the add-on when purchasing the vehicle garage and the office.

One of the most obvious stuff you will need is good weapons and cars. The most important vehicles that will make your life simpler is a buzzard and cargobob. Buzzard is great for the missions and the cargobob for vehicle outsourcing.

Sequence Method

So now you know what you need, how much on average you could make and what to watch out for. You do you not to follow this sequence every time but it’s a great way to start until you start figuring out your own personal methods.

  1. Outsource a car  (Top range for max $ & time is depended on the mission)
  2. Sell a car (Top range for Max money ~$80,000)
  3. Headhunter** (~$22,000 – Highly recommend Buzzard for time efficiency)
  4. Sightseer** (~$22,000 – Time depends how on how close are the packages)
  5. Repeat step 1

Headhunter** – This mission requires you to eliminate four targets. Two of those targets are in armored cars, so focus on these first. if you take out the two standing still enemies first, the cars may spawn on the other side of the map. Destroy the vehicles with explosives, such as sticky bombs or RPGs (highly recommended with a Buzzard). On average, it takes 5-10 minutes to complete. Payouts can be anywhere from $20,000-$22,000.

Sightseer** – The easiest mission is Sightseer. There are three packages, which appear on the GPS after beating hacker puzzles. If the packages are within short distances of each other, it takes around 5 minutes to complete. If the packages spawn at opposite ends of the map, it could take up to 10 minutes. There are no police, NPC’s or threat. The mission rewards $22,500. [wd_ads advert=”6060″]

Biker Business

The Biker business may not be the top profitable business in GTA Online but if you would like to try it out then here is the most profitable job. According to Echobox419’s** chart, Cocaine Lookup is the most profitable. See the chart below.

As you can see in the chart above, cocaine is the most profitable but also is the most expensive. However, you’ll be earning over $420,000 with a full stock run. This assumes that you got the supplies for free and not purchase any.

First, you must get an MC warehouse if you don’t have one. It is must get one to start the cocaine business. I recommend not to spend too much money on this because you’re going to rarely use it. Plus, most of the upgrades in the MC house are just cosmetics and not relevant to anything.

Got to your phone and hit on the maze bank propriety tab and you should be able to see all the properties available for you to buy.

Once you get that set up then you must go and buy another warehouse and this time is for the cocaine business. I recommend buying the cheapest one which should be by Sandy Shores. There are no advantages in getting the warehouse in the city as the most expensive sell out the mission will direct you out of the city and vice-versa if you purchase a warehouse in the countryside. The least effective warehouse if the one by the North side of the map.

Now that you have the place for the business, you’re going to need supplies. There are two ways you can do this. There is a free and paid way. Now if you have the money and want to be time efficient then getting the paid is for you. If you’re a newbie and don’t have any money to invest in supplies then the free method is for you.

Paid Method: Very easy just purchase your supplies and that’s it. The downside is that your profits are going to be much lower than the free method however you have the time to do other missions that will pay you. like headhunter.

Free Method: Just completing missions. Each mission will give a set and at times. This could be a time consuming and it also does not pay! There is no money awarded other than the supplies for your business. Time is what it is being invested so if that does not issue or you’re dirt poor then this is for you. Otherwise, just buy the supply and save your time for more productive cash generating activities

Once you stack up to a full inventory then you will want to sell it. If you stay local then you’ll be paid less than going abroad. If you stay local, you’ll be awarded $280,000 in cash for the delivery. If you go abroad then you’ll be paid $420,000 for the delivery. This is why the warehouse location does not matter much. Although, if you want to minimize your risk when traveling from the city to the countryside for delivery is much less risky than going to the countryside to the city. More info down below about this.

Rinse a repeat and you will be able to make a ton of cash with this business. Now the downside of this business, in general, are the following. The time for the supplies to turn into products takes time. So you’ll not be able to turn your new gathered suppliers and turn it into products right away. The supplies turning into products is a passive process so there is a waiting time before you have a complete stock ready to generate a max amount of cash.

The business has workers in which they will turn your supplies into the product later for you to go and sell them. The last one is not really a shocker as it is already implemented in other business is your exposure to the lobby when selling. This could be very frustrating. Just find a lobby with very little players or with none to increase your chances of delivery without interruptions.

Bunker Business

The bunker business is really similar to the biker business. Both businesses have the same business model where you buy or steal supplies, a waiting period for productions and then selling them.

Now the bunker business does not have as many varieties as the biker business. The bunker business is just simply selling weapons and that pretty much it. Although, if you run the business efficiently, you could possibly earn a lot of money.

According a Reddit user ImOnRedditWow, you can earn $44,497. In his Reddit post, he described the strategy very detailed for you to achieve this kind of money. If you want to see the post then go here.

The bunker model is definitively more hands-on, more opposite to the biker business. There is still more work and the missions are kind of hard to complete. Most of the time you will have to go through rough terrains while the cops harass you most of the way to the endpoint.

I wouldn’t recommend this business if you’re looking to make the most amount of money per hour with as little work as possible.

GTA Online Heist

Now, you might be saying right now that is not a business. If notice, the heist requires you to purchase an apartment with an office and the requires to invest money before the payout. Not only that, but the heist requires you to do a fair amount of work before you can cash in your investment.

It might not be a “business” for you, but it definitely a legit business because it has all the components. Either way, you will be making a lot of money through these methods.

Heist was the very first business in GTA Online. The heist, if done efficiently, could earn you a ton of money per hour. You can earn up to $400k per hour.

What you need for this business are 3 well-experienced players. Once you gather your three skilled players, then you can pretty much rush the setup missions and then complete the last mission with the fat profits.

Now, you will need a high-end apartment before you start. You can get an apartment for $200k Del Perro apartment 7. Also, you will need to be 12 rank or above to participate in a heist or host a heist. Those a the very basic requirements to do a heist.

Before you fire a heist right away, you must know that there is a heist cost before you host a heist. If you’re not hosting any heist then this doesn’t apply to you. The cost of each heist varies. The higher the reward, the most expensive is to host.

The payouts are around 12x+ the amount of the cost to host a heist in total. This doesn’t mean you will get a full amount unless the other three players are not greedy or they simply helping you out. If you can find 3 good players to this with you then you can literally earn $1 million per hour.

Now the most realistic earnings would around $400k per hour. Most likely you will have to share earnings with other teammates. That is not bad at all considering you’re doing a heist mission with a lot happening in a lengthy time.

The downside of this is a lot of things could go wrong. Things like players dying (or you) slow down the grinding by a lot. You must restart from the checkpoint if someone dies and this is very often especially among lower rank players.

If someone leaves, you will have to restart the entire mission again. This includes lagging out of the game. Players not knowing the heist very well. Heists are not easy and full cooperation from everyone is very important. You might encounter players not knowing what to do therefore more prone to them dying.

Simply just get experience players with great connections and you’re set. If you can convince them to let you have the full amount of the heist earnings then that would be a plus. Otherwise, just be in happy that you found people willing to do this heist with you.

Doomsday Heist

The same principle is applied here from the older heist missions. Doomsday heists are better because allow you to make more money will fewer people. You no longer need three additional players to start the heist. You only need 1 player up to 3 players.

Therefore, the higher payout for you if you plan to host the heist. There is less risk of players dying or lagging out. You only need one experienced player and you get to grind out a lot of money per hour. Potentially you can get $300k per hour.

Here are the calculations of payout done by RDS08 in a Reddit post.
