I know that Assassin’s Creed Origins can be overwhelming, especially if you do not know what are you doing. The map is humongous and there is so much to do. Here is my Assassin’s Creed Origins tips and tricks that will help you cut down all that and enjoy the game more. You will learn how to take advantage of most abilities in the game. For those that do not have Assassin’s Creed Origins, then read my review before you buy it.
LEVELING SYSTEM
One of the many new features of Assassin’s Creed Origins is a leveling system.Nearly every action in the game gives you experience, which in turn makes Bayuk stronger and allows you to unlock new abilities. However, every single enemy also has a level value which you have to pay close attention to. There is no level scaling in this game which means that sometimes you will come across foes who are much stronger than you.
The entire map is divided into two regions, each with a number value telling you what level enemies you can expect there and what level you should be. Stay away from enemies that are 2 levels above your own level. These enemies will be designated by a red skull above their head. You can still kill enemies that are more than 2 levels higher. Just do not go and rush attack a herd of red skulls. Your best chance is to go one on one if you have to or attack from a safe. It is best that you shot fire arrows for the maximum damage.
It is actually possible to kill enemies couple or more levels above you, however you might want to implement a strategy before you tackle them. Just do a lot of side missions and you will level up rather quickly.[wd_ads advert=”6059″]
HOW TO LEVEL UP
Since we have a leveling system you probably asking what is the quickest way to level up. The main quest line will level you as quickly as possible offering the largest experience boost each time you complete a mission.
Sometimes you will run across moments where you need a bit more experience. At time you will need to reach a recommended level for the next story quest. In that case, the quickest way to level up is by completing side quests. so just do the side missions labeled on the map with exclamation points and you’ll be leveling up in no time one.
There is no grinding so just do the side quest and that usually would get you on par, if needed, with the quest levels. Unless you have time to go a kill hundred of NPCs.
SYNCHRONIZING
The most satisfying moments in the Assassin’s Creed series for me has always been synchronizing. It is just super unique and the views are absolutely incredible especially in origins. Aside from the the view, sync points do more than just unlock fast travel points across the map. In your abilities menu, you’ll see the total progress for all synchronization points in the top left with Senu perception.
Using the Senu to do recon from above is a key part of nearly every mission in the game and makes locating the objective much easier. Not only that, Senu can help you detect hidden treasures and secret entrances across the world that you’d otherwise miss out on. sinking each high point will improve Senu’s perceptions. so it is best to synchronize as many points as you can as quickly as possible.
MUST LOOT THOSE CONVOYS
Who does not like money and material? Convoys will give you just that. So, You need to get to them every time you come across them. Convoys are always traveling around Egypt. They haul cedar, wood, bronze money, and other resources you can easily spot them from the air with your Senu by pressing up on the d-pad.Senu vision is so good that you can see what are they’re transporting.
Set a marker and you’ll track the convoy. Just catch up to them ( if you’re lazy then do it this: just make your horse follow the auto mount with the road and it will follow the convoy road). When you catch up with the convoy, kill the driver and loot the crafting material. Easy isn’t it? Okay maybe not your very first try, but if you keep at it then it well worth it.
KEEPING THE WEAPONS YOU WANT
In line with the many new RPG features in this game, origins allow you to fully equip gear for Bayek. You will come across hundreds of different weapons along your journey and constantly replace gear as you level up. the cool thing is that if you find weapons that you really like you can keep on using them effectively regardless of their level.
You can take any weapon you like to any blacksmith and with a little bit of gold, he will raise the level of that weapon to Bayek current level. This ensures that your favorite weapons will still stay relevant and do as much damage as they should be doing as long as you have the cash to spend.
WEAPONS ATTRIBUTES YOU MUST ATTENTION TO
Aside from archetypes, weapon attributes provide the most varieties of different weapons in the game. Almost every single piece will have a small icon and a brief description telling you what the modifier generally does for your weapon.
In the gear page, you can access every single weapon attribute in the game by pressing the legend button prompt in the bottom left corner. You can hover over each attribute to get a detailed description of what they do along with the effectiveness rating across four levels of strength. This can found by the tick marks to the left of the icon on your gear. The black attributes are standard but the yellow attributes are special ones which don’t have levels but are much more powerful than the regular ones. Cursed is the red one the most unique and it doubles by X damage output but reduces his health to 33% so be especially careful with these weapons origins features.
BRAND NEW COMBAT SYSTEM
Since the combat system has been overhauled completely, combat with Bayek feels much different. You can block dodge and even parry attackers because origins use a hitbox system. It is much more intuitive and honestly takes a while to adjust. Just a few pointers you can dodge three times in a row before there’s a cool-down, so abuse that as much as possible especially when you’re surrounded by multiple enemies.
Next you have to unlock the ability to parry. You will not have it immediately so in the warrior tree, (abilities tree) the game will give you ‘overpower’ then you’ll need to unlock ‘regeneration’ and then that’s when parry is available. Finally, almost all enemies can pull out a bow and arrow from range and shoot you so be careful when you’re out in the open because they can burn you down very quickly. Always stay hidden in area where the enemies level are higher then you. Parry them if you really need to kill them. Just make sure they are alone though.
DESTROY THOSE EVIL PTOLEMY STATUES
Maybe there are not that evil, but it will you those hard-earned XP if you shatter them in pieces. Here is another way to earn super easy XP. When ever you see one this statues, just destroy them and there is your XP. Just be aware that some might have guards close by, so make sure you are level par with them.
Who does not like easy XP and destroying stuff?
GET YOURSELF FRIENDS
If you are feeling lonely then animal taming is going to work for you. There is an ability called animal taming that turns animals into friends. A friend who will follow you obediently and by anyone who gives you want to fight you.You will need at least 10 skill point to unlock it, so keep that in mind.
The most crucial ability to unlock on the route to animal taming is the sleep darts. So make sure you get it before animal taming. Once you’ve unlocked the animal taming ability, you will first have to fire a sleep dart at any animal of your choice. Then when the beast is dozing run up and hold triangle (Y for xbox). Now you got yourself a new loyal friend. You can only tame one animal at the time unfortunately, so get the best animal out there.[wd_ads advert=”6060″]
Auto amount everywhere
Assassin creed origin map is huge so sometimes traveling from one area to another might be tedious. While riding a mount you can press and hold the auto-walk button to tell it to follow roads. Then if you have a tracked quest objective or have placed a custom marker on the map, it’ll give you the option to have your mount take you right to it. No guarantee that it won’t give itself a concussion (running into things) or cause bodily harm to pedestrians on the way but it’ll get you there. Bear in mind that it might not take the most direct route since it’ll generally stick to predefined travel routes but you can take back control at any time by using your movement buttons.
Fight with Fire!
Fire is big in this game. So learning how to use fire, it gives a huge boost in this game. For starter, Bayek carries an unlimited number of torches which can be extremely helpful if you know how to use them properly. When using bows and arrows, you can light up the tip of the arrow and attack your enemies. It will do massive amount damage, therefore, killing them a lot faster.
All you need to do is go to nearest fire location, it could be anything literally has flowing flames on, and light it up. For those time that you cannot find fire anywhere then use your unlimited supplies of torches. Just drop the torch and light up your arrow tip from the torch in the floor. If you want to do maximum damage, this is one way or perhaps the best way to go.
Take advantage of Senu vision
Senu could help loot a lot of items and money. So, getting used to scanning is a must especially in new areas. Every time you are in a hideout or a camp with soldiers, scan the environment because there will be a ton of coins and other items to collect. Other items can be crafting items like iron and those are super important to upgrade your gear to get better damage with your hidden blades more arrows carry rounds or more health. These items from this modeling your weapons as well so I would recommend you do that instead of selling them in the store for a few bucks.
