Dragon Age Inquisition is a single-player RPG developed by Bioware. The team has a lot of experience with Role-playing games, as they created one of the biggest names in the industry known as Mass Effect and have even worked on other franchises such as Sonic the Hedgehog. Dragon Age is a great series because of the story, gameplay, and interactions that you can have with your party members. The appeal of any RPG is that there are multiple classes that you can choose for battle. This guide is going to tell you how to maximize the potential of the knight enchanter build.

Levels and skills

You want to be in the range of 25-30 to make sure that you are high enough level to be able to equip a lot of these skills at once. You need to consider that they are going to buff whatever spells and weapons that you have.

Ice armor

Ice armor is a great defensive spell that’s great for being a take or just reducing damage in general. Ice armor makes sure that whenever you are close to a frozen enemy, you can reduce the damage that is down to you which will make a big difference over time. Even without that effect, it uses cold magic to protect you in general and reduce physical attacks by 50%. 

This can really help you out if you want to set up for a hard boss fight and you want to make sure the grunts don’t get in your way.

Flashpoint

Flashpoint is a spell that everyone should have on them because it’s such a great skill. It allows you to not have a cooldown for any spell when you land a critical hit. A critical hit is likely to happen whenever you are a fighter that relies on physical attacks. 

This skill makes sure that there is an aspect of randomness to the entire battle. Even when you feel like you’re down in the battle, you might get flashpoints and be blessed for that battle. Flashpoint could be the difference between making a statement win in a battle or having your party get destroyed.

Fade

The fade step allows for evasive tactics which can be helpful when dealing with an enemy that’s a lot more powerful than you. The ability allows you to use magic to create invisible images of yourself and use that on your enemies. This is good if you need to retreat and heal your party so that they don’t fall during battle. 

There are a ton of uses that you could use offensively as well. Perhaps, you want to lure your enemies to a specific point on the battlefield and do massive damage to all of them.

Armor 

The shrewd cap is one of the best options that you have when it comes to using the build to its fullest potential. The head part buffs your cunning stat so that you do more critical damage. This really helps your flashpoint skill because it makes sure that there are no cooldowns the next time you use a skill. 

The superb ring of critical chance is also a good item that you can use for your battles. It will increase your critical stat by 10%, giving you an edge when attacking a lot.

Weapons

The deadly brutal scepter is one of the best staffs in the game when it comes to using high damage spells. It has a large electricity stat which is helpful for that static cage spell. 

Not only will that do a lot of damage, that will also make sure that the enemies won’t be able to leave, and your party members do a lot of damage to them. It gives you a huge buff when it comes to critical damage when you get that done. There is also a chance that you will be able to automatically set a spell for one of your party members if they are within 8 meters.

Dragon Enchanter Ability Tree

mong the common Knight Enchanter Build Abilities include Amplified Blade, Combat Clarity, Decloaking Blast, Defending Blade, Disruption Field, Enduring Cloak, Fade Cloak, Fade Shield, Stasis Lock, and Veiled Riposte.

With the most recent changes to Spirit Blade, the Knight-Enchanter specialization has transformed quite significantly. However, it is still very powerful. Now, instead of using Spirit Blade at all times, you are supposed to use it only when you have high spirit blade charges (90+), as the tooltip above your skills bar shows.

You will expend the charges by using the Spirit Blade, and therefore you will need to build them back up more often. Among the most exciting classes, Dragon Age Inquisition can offer the Knight Enchanter.

The Knight-Enchanter can be both a tank, a mage, support, and a melee DPS. With the equipment and special abilities listed below, you will have the capacity to maximize your build to its most productive state.

These builds work with Inquisitor and Vivienne. However, you are recommended to use this on Inquisitor to have maximum enjoyment. To become a Knight-Enchanter, you are supposed to complete the quest way of the Knight-Enchanter.

The quest initiates by talking with Commander Helaine in Skyhold courtyard after you are done with the Inquisitor War Table Operation specializations.

You are supposed to collect 3 Wisp Essences and 10 Lazurites from the three listed locations. However, they are not random drops but drop from your three specific enemies.

  • Weeping Spires
  • Granite Point in The Fallow Mire

1. Spirit Blade

To build charges using the new spirit blade, you must deal damage using a spell or a usual staff attack. Each damage instance will give you five orders (10 with the Amplified Blade Upgrade), up to 99 charges.

For this reason, skills like Energy Barrage are needed for this build since it is used to attack multiple times.

You make a blade of solid magic to make melee attacks towards nearby foes, bypassing their barriers and guards. Here are some of the stats of Spirit Blade;

  • Spirit Harm: 150% Weapon Damage
  • Bonus: 100% against the guard and 100% against Barrier
  • Cost: 10 mana
  • Unlocks Amplified Blade, Defending Blade, Fade Cloak, and Combat Clarity.

You can modify Spirit Blade by Defending Blade, which makes you deflect incoming projectiles. In addition, directing an energy shockwave back to the opponent, and Amplified Blade, which is used to charge your Spirit Blade more swiftly but can spend all charge when you are hitting an enemy.

2. Fade Cloak

You arm yourself with the Shrouds magic, which marks you temporarily invulnerable and passes through adversaries without getting harmed. Its duration is 2 seconds, Cooldown of 12 seconds, and costs 20 mana.

You can modify the fade cloak by Decloaking Blast. This is capable of blasting an enemy with massive force if you are capable of rematerializing inside them, and Enduring Cloak, which responsibility is to extend the length of Fade Cloak subject to how low the charge on your spirit blade is.

3. Disruption Field

You fill an area with magical energy able to slow and weaken your enemies. The enemies that are larger than the field are immune.

  • Speed Reduction: 50%
  • Area of Effect: 3 meters
  • Duration: 10 seconds
  • Cooldown: 20 seconds
  • Cost: 65 mana.

You can modify the disruption field by Statis Lock, which is capable of adding a speed reduction to those who are caught in your Disruption Field, and Charged Disruption, which collects power for your Disruption Field when the enemies inside the field take damage.

4. Resurgence

Resurgence is a Mage ability from the Knight Enchanter Build specialization. Resurgence is a type of focus ability that heals you and your allies. Focus powers this ability.

It operates under a radius of 5 meters, and its duration is 10 seconds.

5. Combat Clarity

Though the chaos of combat frightens some, for you, it is a comfortable rhythm. Your mana can regenerate faster when you are near hostile foes.

It unlocks Resurgence and Fade Shield.

  • Length: 5 meters
  • Mana Regeneration Rate: 50 percent.
  • Constitution on Unlock: +3

6. Fade Shield

You draw back the energy your enemies release in your attacks against them. Any successful attacks strengthen your barrier. The more damage you make, the stronger your barrier grows.

Fade shield unlocks Resurgence and Fade Shield.

  • Barrier: 30% of damage dealt
  • Magic on Unlock: +3

7. Veiled Riposte

Whenever you are having an active barrier, enemies who attack you will have damage in return.

  • Damage Returned: 20%
  • Magic on Unlock: +3

8. Knight Protector

You are adept with defensive magic, and the barriers you create take naturally longer to decay.

  • Barrier Decay Reduction: 35%
  • Constitution on Unlock: +3

Unlocks Disruption Field.

Way of the Knight Enchanter

Way of the Knight Enchanter is one of the three quests that a mage inquisitor must complete to have a new specialization.

Commander Helaine will disclose the secrets of the Knight Enchanter specialization when you craft a hilt to hold a spirit blade and study all the methods needed to wield the sword.

After you have completed the main quest from the Ashes and moved to Skyhold, a war table operation Specializations for the Inquisitor avails itself. By completing the procedure, you unlock the specialization quests.

Three possible trainers will reach Skyhold so that the Inquisitor selects one specialization. First, commander Helaine teaches the Knight- Enchanter specialization.

The Power of The Knight-Enchanter

When the power of the Knight Enchanter is combined with the right spells, you make a character strong enough to kill anything in the game, including Dragons. If the abilities and skills are correctly assigned, Vivienne can do this comfortably.
